National Contractor Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION


?


The National Contractor Manager is a National Sales Leadership position that requires the aptitude and sales understanding for the Contractor trade and vocational arena.? This person will either have served as a National Account Manager, or led a sales effort/group in a Vocational capacity and understands both the methods and applications apprentices need to move through a trade profession.? This person will support a National effort that will direct both field sales leadership team, and our newly structured ATM Position to train, foster, and drive sales of the many related products and services IDEAL offers to both vocation students, and significant Vocational partners in the channel.? This person will report to the Vice President of Sales, and will serve as the Electrical Team?s Leader for all strategy and assigned coverage in support the IDEAL brand, Industry related connections, and related future vocational sales initiatives.




PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



The position will lead the IDEAL national strategy and program to envelope all assets in the channel to align IDEAL with the many training and trade organizations that have input into electricians? of tomorrow.? This person will be focused and engaged with related National Vocational Schools, and significant market Vocational events to do the following:




  • Set the National Strategy for connecting IDEAL coverage and plans for IDEAL sales conversions

  • Create a target list of appropriate and targeted Contractor and Vocational facilities to create a management processes to develop IDEAL platforms within the targeted facilities

  • Be involved with the Vocational schools at all levels and to create support for both industry work and related IDEAL products

  • Lead all DEAL efforts in the important end-user segment that will also drive Contractors? in support of aligned training programs:? hand tools, wire termination, lock-out / tag-out safety, supplies, and low-voltage applications using related IDEAL products in the target training organizations

  • Using current data base?s and leveraging sales team initiatives, work with RSMs to develop individual target vocational opportunities for each region. Create a Progress Tracking System for RSM and management to audit progress and related sales

  • Sit on the Advisory Board(s) where applicable

  • Drive industry platforms that are inherent to IDEAL and Vocational professionals

  • Create/Participate in IDEAL Wire-Offs Platforms and other National engagement ? IDEAL Nationals

  • Become ingrained at the Vocational HQ Leadership Teams, and support Vocational directors as needed

  • Support National sales efforts where Vocational end-users and events aligned

  • Create cross reference product lists for IDEAL student use ? in conjunction with supporting ATM work

  • Create content for business units covering products used in the field

  • Garnish competitive information from Vocational development programs across all trade channels


REQUIREMENTS



  • 5 years? experience in the Vocational arena, with related background in a similar trade group(s)

  • Experience in leading field staff members (ATMs/Reps) and working in concert with other IDEAL leadership positons to include regional managers and business unit managers to both create and implement the vocational strategies for all at IDEAL

  • Be able to work with a sales team and communicate related work and support for sales growth

  • Create both platform and strategic sales programs to leverage the IDEAL brand

  • Be able to travel nationally ? roughly 50% for National Events to include significant industry training events, IDEAL Nationals, and other platform trade shows where IDEAL is featured.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  • Background in related Vocational Programs at both the creation and implementation phases

  • Have the ability to both to gain the credibility within existing electrical sales group, and be aligned with all industry vocational partners.

  • Business acumen to fully appreciate the investment cost and relationship to moving Vocational leads to related IDEAL Area Sales Managers and respective distributors, or e-commerce platforms

  • Manage National time and territory management to effectively support the Sales Channel that supports multiple sales people and Vocational avenues

  • Fully understand the new effect of revenue, pricing, account costing with net effect to the channel P&L; Impact on financials (short term and long term). Budget for planned expenses and who pays for what.

  • What will be the estimated revenue and how to track

  • Demonstrated a sense of urgency, be a good listener, assertive, problem solver, high energy, self-motivated , strong interpersonal skills, and persuasive while coming off as an educator

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
