Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Responsible for coordinating project work and problem-solving activities as they relate to present or new manufacturing processes. Must be familiar with all phases of planning and costing, but is primarily concerned with robotics, tooling and fabrication, finishing, assembly, machine design, etc. Primary responsibility is to facilitate orderly transformation of the manufacturing facilities to accommodate changing products and manufacturing technology

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain a documented system to manage all process related documents in accordance with IATF 16949 requirements (standard work, PFMEA, process flow, etc.). Actively applies new manufacturing technologies and aggressively evaluates and reports on manufacturing opportunities which will contribute to the plant's objectives and goals. Participates in the product design activity to assure optimum productivity and costs. Suggests alternative designs, materials, or processes. Must be capable of resolving all problems while maintaining good rapport with customers. Maintains effective communications with all people affected by projects and issues operating instructions when required. Issues periodic status reports to keep affected personnel informed. Coordinate and lead activities of junior Engineers (controls and manufacturing) to satisfy the needs of the plant in a timely and cost-effective manner. Stand in to support manufacturing or controls Engineer roles as needed. Prepares manufacturing studies to determine optimum manufacturing costs, quality, and inventories and/or evaluates feasibility for new or existing products, processes or materials. Recommends changes for the most practical and economical manufacturing processes, including material, labor, tooling, equipment, and ancillary factors. Participates in selecting, approving and developing tooling and equipment to satisfy manufacturing requirements and product design intent. Provides customer liaison as relates to product design and engineering matters. Coordinates new processes implementation and training. Ensures that all relevant tooling is capable of making required product to meet all timing goals. Serves as resource person to process changes, problem solving committee, etc., to ensure product design intent is not jeopardized. Actively pursue quality improvements in the manufacturing process. Serves as champion of Pre-Launch Team of all new programs. Participates in or assigns team members to participate in Job Safety Analysis Assist the plant in achieving safety goals and achieving and maintaining AMS objectives. EMS Job Responsibilities: Will follow and promote environmental management system compliance and commitment to resource conservation. EHS Job Responsibilities:
Documentation of injury reports.
Complete witness statements as needed.
Participation in the Accident Investigation team.
Conduct periodic safety audits.
Ensure safety standards are met and enforced.
Complete assigned safety audits by due date.
Submit work orders as needed to correct conditions which may be hazardous.
Participate in safety communications weekly/monthly events such as plant wide meeting, pre-shift meeting, department meetings, and training exercises.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of three (3) years in manufacturing engineering or related manufacturing area.
Experience in automation controls selection, implementation, and troubleshooting. Experience with Allen Bradley controls and Fanuc robotics preferred.
Experience developing and/or maintaining process documentation including but not limited to process flow, PFMEA, work instructions, etc.
If no (or inadequate) previous experience or formal training is evident employee must be able to successfully complete required training and/or certification as required by Manager within 90 days of hire.
Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to work effectively and constructively with people to obtain support to meet applicable quality, delivery, and cost constraints. Ability to manage, prioritize, and direct multiple tasks to achieve compressed time constraints.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, management, peers, and subordinates both orally and in prose.
Ability to develop visions and implement ideas to achieve continuous improvements and cost reductions throughout plant.
Ability to adapt and adjust to changing environmental requirements.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
