Opening Lifeguards 5am
Water Fitness Instructors-Hours Vary
Swim Instructors-Hours Vary
$8.50 an hour
Qualifications:
o Minimum age of 16.
o Certifications for Lifeguards: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid certification.
o Current YMCA Lifeguarding or Red Cross Lifeguarding (For Lifeguards only)
o Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
o Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards. (For lifeguards Only)
Physical Demands:
o Ability to pass lifeguard water test.
o Must be able to remain alert.
o Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
o Adequate ability to hear noises and distinguish distress signals.
o Ability to continuously scan all areas of the pool with clear vision.
o Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks necessary for a water rescue.
o Ability to communicate verbally, including projecting voice across distance in normal and loud situations.
o Ability to work in a chlorine environment.
o Ability to work in high humidity.
Ability to work in temperatures over 80 degrees
